You Caught Me. I've Got an Agenda.

Agenda this. Agenda that. 

That's all we hear about. Who is shoving whose agenda down whose throat. (There are so many jokes to be had with that line. Alas, I digress.)

And you're right. I've got an agenda. And it's one I've been forcing upon you all. It's really pretty terrifying, or so I've read.

You see, the agenda I have, is simple.

I support people living their lives without your fucking bigoted, racist, sexist, xenophobic dumbass bullshit fucking up their jam. 

But seriously, that's what my agenda is. 

And, here's where it gets complicated for a lot of folk on the "family morals superiority train." You do NOT get to take your whack-ass interpretation of the bible and use it to justify not only your discriminatory views — but YOUR  discriminatory ACTIONS IN SUPPORTING LEGISLATION — to deny people the same basic rights your white heterosexual ass has.

I mean, for fuck's sake. How is this a conversation? Hoooooooooooooow?

Oh. My agenda also supports the use of "vulgar" language because I feel it accurately captures  my disdain and disgust on a level vanilla can't.

Anyway, back to my point. Even if you HATE the LGBTQ+ community with every fiber of your "perfectly moral" self — if it just shrivels up those tightie whities to a place comfort goes to die — why on earth does that make you entitled to determine who gay people fuck, date or marry? This is a legitimate question. What gives you the right to support policy and legislation that denies rights to someone based on your own personal beliefs? I mean, you have the right to have your beliefs, and practice that level of asshattery for yourself, sure. Do you, boo. But, why do you believe you have the actual right to "own" rights and deny others some those same rights? 

See, I may think religion is quite frankly the cause of all chaos, destruction and hate in this world (because there's no control on the level to which it can be abused if we don't respect the concept of separation of church and state), on every level, AND YET, I still wouldn't support policy that says you can't practice whatever religion you choose. Just don't indoctrinate my kids with it, and keep religious-based anything  out of public school and state and we're good! I'm going to explain it to you like you're five right now, because I've lost you. I support you in your journey of believing in whatever religion you choose to do. Just take your righteous indignation and assertion that you can use it to  control everyone else, shove it up your ass (or use anal beads ... whatever works), and we're good!

You can be a crazy motherfucker (I mean, I'm not gonna support you if that involves rape and murder), and I'd still say live and let live as long as you living is not affecting my (or anyone else's) rights and  freedoms. It's a fascinatingly simple concept. I mean, I may be morally against your marriage to a redneck sack of soap duds, but sweetie, I'm not going to fight for a law that says you can't make your own choices.

But, while we're on the subject of abuse of religion and its power ... how are you all not completely foaming at the mouth, stark raving livid at the fact that the Catholic church covered up more than 1,000 cases of sexual abuse against minors, committed by more than 300 priests, in the last 70 years? I have yet to see any outrage over that from the same people who would literally sacrifice a limb if it meant they didn't have to spend an extra second each day respecting someone's preferred gender pronouns.

And, while we're at it, let's get real about you hijacking the "pro-life" descriptor. If you're pro-birth, and then damn the people to hell that you forced to have unplanned children because they didn't have proper sex ed education because you censored it and because they didn't have proper access to birth control because you fucking blocked that too, and then they didn't have upward career mobility because you laughed at the idea of equal wages, and then they didn't have livable wages because you mocked the idea of them working 40 hours a week and not being able to pay rent, and then you shamed them for needing to request assistance from the government ... you are not pro-life.

Let me repeat: YOU ARE NOT PRO-LIFE.

Life is really fucking short. Why are you spending so much time working to destroy the quality of others' lives to make you feel good about yours?

So yeah. I've got an agenda. And it starts with ensuring that you no longer continue being successful in putting into law policy and legislation that further marginalizes the marginalized, that makes the poor poorer, that criminalizes poverty, that makes affordable access to health care nearly impossible, that disenfranchises minorities, that coddles corporations over people ... that lends itself to ONLY your agenda — the one in which you seek to further plant the seeds of inequality in order to remain on top.
