I got a letter in the mail....

This was as formal and standard as I expected. I'm amazed that it took more than three weeks to produce this.

It is missing a very important element from the resolution:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the president of the Board will issue a letter of apology on behalf of the Board to Mrs. Weihe and Mr. Harris for the unwarranted attacks on their good character and standing in the community.

So, while I appreciate that Mr. Andersen signed off on a letter that I presume wasn't written by him, despite the resolution also stating that, this apology falls short of the very specific orders outlined in the resolution.

Dear Anonymous Mommy,

I'm glad that you received some kind of acknowledgment, lame form-letter feel aside. Joe Nigro and I are still waiting for our apology. Apparently, the board is supposed to stop the public from maligning teachers in public. Dunn declined to do that. The NPHS English Dept. wrote a lovely letter in support of us at WHS. Crickets from Dunn and Andersen. Clearly, those two are not interested in our votes this fall.

Will they now try to use this bylaw review to make it easier for Mike Dunn to get away with his harassment?!
Guess we’ll all have to keep showing up to ensure that doesn’t happen...

The CVUSD Board of Education supposedly leads the CVUSD District. The District includes first our students, secondly our professionals, our staff and our parents and our residents in the community. Leadership means respecting those you lead. The majority of this board has on more than one occasion disrespected their professional teaching staff, their students, and parents and community members that disagree with their viewpoint. Leadership means looking for solutions to issues that differing views can accept. You do this by showing respect to those who you lead no matter whether they agree with you or not. Our District will be stronger when our leaders show respect to the elements that make up the district. Dsirepect is synonamous with weak leadership.
