His sister had always had the type of hair that other girls were jealous of. Long, strong blonde strands that gave just the right amount of natural  wave and curl, but Sam was always covering them up with a ball cap or tossing her hair up in a messy bun. He guessed many would describe her as low maintenance in that way.

She walked up to him and immediately punched him in the arm. Not hard, but just hard enough to prove she could wrestle with boys. They had always had somewhat of a competitive relationship growing up, with her being just 13 months younger. She was always eager to be doing whatever he was doing. The little sister that could, he chuckled to himself.

"What are you doing here, Spazz?" he asked as she stepped back with a smirk on her face from getting her punch in first.

He caught Becky's eye as he asked. She looked anxious regarding what Sam was about to say.
