Something occurred to me the other day, as the cloud of negativity that had been following me essentially dissolved when I exited stage right from many mom groups. Instead of only seeing the ridiculousness that comes with the parenting community, in real life (yes -- fresh air, the whole shibang), I was able to see with clarity how many people are actually awesome and supportive to moms.

It's been a hot second since I've blogged. I'm trying this whole thing where I pay attention to my husband when I'm home. Laaaaame, right?!
Anyway, it's Friday night, I've popped open a Chocolate Stout, AB is sleeping ........ Amidst #huggiesuegatebonanzacrazypantsviraldealsafetyforourbabiescharade I'm realizing some of y'all need a lesson.
What is bullying? When someone posts public commentary on their own page about publicly posted content... that is not bullying, regardless of whether you agree with their opinion or not. For example - the David Beckham article posted earlier, regarding the paci controversy. No matter what my real opinion is on it, I can assure you that David Beckham isn't sending his team to hunt me down for bullying because I shared a public article about him, and shared my opinion about it, on MY page. Ladies, Gents.
IF you are going to unfollow me (hey do what ya gotta do), and you feel the need to throw me a "peace out post/speech" at least do me a solid and make it a good one. I mean, I've painstakingly studied exit speech after exit speech in mom groups and provided you a "how to!" But, how do I say this gently? Puddin' pop, I don't care if you unfollow. |
