With so much negativity permeating our community (and world) recently, and a concerning influx of complaints against teachers for perceived slights, and "bad feelings," let's take a moment to recognize, honor and thank all of the wonderful, hardworking teachers in our community who sacrifice their time, their money and often their individualities in order to educate our children and nurture strong foundations of curiosity and an excitement for learning.
As important is it is for our students to feel safe, first and foremost, and for parents' concerns (when warranted) to be heard and appropriately addressed, our teachers are often overlooked, and often times, treated as guilty first. They are a unique and irreplaceable part of the fabric of our society and it would be nice to show them that we recognize all they do, and that they have our support. So, with that in mind.... I plan to fill up my page throughout Teacher Appreciation Week with shoutouts from you, to your favorite teachers. Email me a brief write-up of a teacher in the CVUSD who has made a difference in YOUR life, or YOUR CHILD's life, their name and school, and a pic (optional). I'll share these throughout Teacher Appreciation Week and together, we'll remind our community about the important roles our teachers play, and hopefully, encourage others to have some grace when communicating with teachers.

Don't worry everyone.
I just needed to focus on some work deliverables and am not good at ignoring the notifications on my AM page. I have no self control. Plus, when you're dealing with crazies, the notifications skyrocket. I'll reactivate in a bit. Plus, I can't poof. The giraffe-egg lovers would be devastated! And I just love their fan mail too much. <3 <3 <3 Chad smirked as he was brewing the coffee. The sizzle of the bacon was crisp and loud and the smell was permeating the kitchen. He wondered how Becky would react, especially after yesterday's conversation... but he didn't care. Bacon is bacon.
