It's approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes until we're due for a bounce house birthday party. I'm not showered. AB is... well.... she's at least dressed. I also don't have a gift for the birthday girl... yet. Just like last week for school's Earth Day potluck, when I ended up picking up a large package of string cheeses the morning of, and dropping it off with her teacher who I bumped into in the Starbucks line.

That means, on Saturday I'm: 1) Getting Unicorn hair and makeup done 2) Wearing a Unicorn horn, tutu and tail 3) Drinking a Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino on FB live 4) Providing you with blackmail footage for life Today, well today... I want that number upped to $3,000. For me, this endeavor is all about awareness. Everyone has been affected by cancer. P.S. IF WE HIT $3,000 TODAY I DO THIS WHOLE FIASCO AT THE OAKS MALL. DONATE HERE Previously..... Ok, once upon a time the world became obsessed with Unicorns and everyone from mom groups to well-established companies jumped on the Unicorn bandwagon! THUS THE MONSTROSITY KNOW AS: THE UNICORN FRAPPUCCINO FROM STARBUCKS WAS BORN. Lately, date nights have consisted of quick dinner getaways and squeezed-in last minute trips to Bottle and Pint. I realized something recently... we don't really ever plan dates in advance, we just try and fit them in when we see a chance. And while I'm grateful that we have the ability for even these "flash dates" — as I like to think of them — sometimes they don't feel nearly long enough to escape, and usually they're rushed. "Hey, my mom said she'd watch AB... if we leave now we can have two hours before we need to pick her back up for bedtime!" Doesn't exactly set the mood for relaxation... despite still being a much needed form of "us time." Plus, that stock photo... GUILTY. I just got off the phone with a friend who is expecting. She is in the middle of the "Holy shit, what do I really need?" phase. I remember that well... it probably started when I realized there is a whole wall dedicated to different types of pacifiers in Babies R' Us.
